We are Jeroen and Evita, but you probably already saw that from the title. If you ended up here, chances are you already know us, or one of us. In case you don't, here is an introduction.

Jeroen is born and raised in Leiden, Evita is originally a Zeeland girl. Ten years ago we started this blog when we were busy planning our dream trip to New Zealand - and had only known each other for a year. By now we are married, proud staff of three cats and as travel-minded as ever.

Since that first big trip, we have visited extraordinary places together, and our bucket list only keeps growing. One of our biggest dreams is to emigrate to Scandinavia one day, and an expedition to Antarctica is also high on our wish list. Until then, we enjoy living in the Bulb Region and go out as often as possible, near or far.

Jeroen is a professional amateur photographer and videographer and for him, capturing has added an extra dimension to traveling. Evita, on the other hand, appreciates a little rest and a certain amount of luxury during vacations. Where Jeroen gets energy from being on the road, Evita enjoys the moments of relaxation. Finding (and finding) that balance is part of our travel adventure, and we make sure that we always have the most beautiful experiences together.

This blog once began as a way to keep family and friends informed about our travels and as a kind of digital diary for ourselves. We still browsed through it regularly and referred new friends and colleagues to it if they were curious. We have since, of necessity, started over after ten years as you can read in the first post on this current blog.

But it is actually exactly what this new blog is too: no grand plans, no commercial intentions - pure enthusiasm and a collection of our best memories.
